Company Policy

Estimates

Estimates are not legally binding.  We will provide you with an estimate free of charge based either on the information you provide to us or by doing a free on-site estimate.  The final cost of your move will be based on the actual time your move takes to complete (local moves are billed in quarter-hour increments) and any additional supplies.  After you receive your estimate, you will be given the option to book or to hold your date for up to two business days. 

Payment options

Payment is due at the completion of the job.  We accept checks, cash, and major debit and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover & Amex).  Movers do not carry change.

Two-hour minimum

All moves are subject to a two-hour minimum charge regardless of actual time taken.  After the two-hour minimum, the move time is billed in quarter-hour increments.

Shoes

Our Crews are required to leave their shoes on at all stages of a move for their safety.  Every precaution (within reason) will be taken to ensure that your floors are kept clean and safe throughout the move.  Each truck is equipped with floor runners that may be used on hardwood floors and carpeting in high-traffic areas. These will be offered free of charge. Additional carpet and hardwood floor protection options are available for purchase, but must be requested prior to your move.  

Disassembly/reassembly

We offer disassembly and reassembly as part of our services, but please be sure to notify us of any specialty items that will require this service, so that it may be added to our estimate. It is our policy to reassemble any furniture that we have disassembled; however, for liability reasons, we cannot reassemble cribs and bunk beds. 

Truck restrictions

All roadways must have a minimum clearance of 13’5”.  Any parking fees or permits will be billed to the client. All roads must be safe with no snow or ice.  We may cancel or reschedule jobs due to extreme weather or road conditions.

Crew size

We will recommend the crew size that is most cost-effective after preparing your estimate. This will be determined based on the number of items to be moved, whether there are specialty items and stairs or elevators involved at both locations.  For safety reasons, we reserve the right to send the number of movers that we feel are necessary for both the safety of our Crew and the timely completion of the job.

Damages

Although our team will be as careful as possible, periodically damage may occur. If damage is caused by our service, we reserve the right to repair the damage in question. If we determine that the damage cannot be repaired, we reserve the right to either replace or compensate for the damage. If there is damage, notify your crew lead immediately. They will complete a damage report, with photos, before they leave your site. If you discover damage after the move, call the office within 48 hours of your move. No damage claims will be honored until the charges for moving services have been paid in full.  Caseboise is only responsible for items while they are in our care and control.  This does not cover items being transported by others or while in storage.  We are not liable for damage due to temperatures or weather. Caseboise is not liable for the contents packed by others.  Unless there is visible outward damage, we are not liable for electronics, appliances, or mechanical items.  All boxes must be taped shut.  Anything left unpacked is up to the mover’s discretion if they will move those items.  We are not liable for damage due to the weight of items you ask to be moved into your home (safes).  

Appliances 

We do not disconnect or reconnect gas appliances.  If we reconnect waterlines, we will have you sign a liability release, as we are not licensed plumbers.  We are not liable for any leaking fittings, valves or lines or any electrical/mechanical issues.  

Electronics 

We do not reconnect electronics or rehang TVs.  

Obstacles 

It is your responsibility to ensure that there is a safe path to and through your home.  All paths/driveways must be clear of snow and free of ice.  If we are required to shovel or put down ice melt, you may incur additional fees.  

Hazardous Items

We do not transport anything leaking, hazardous, combustible, flammable, or excessively dirty.

Our Crew’s rights

We reserve the right to decline a move either in part or in its entirety if we feel that conditions are unsafe or excessively unclean.
